Glad to See Ohio Improving Its Laws
A whole host of improvements, including castle doctrine and being able to carry into rest stops (something I appreciate, living in a neighboring state).
Will of the People
We’re constantly told that gun control in Philadelphia is the “will of the people,” which the state should not be interfering with. I doubt you’ll find any disagreement on that matter from gun control advocates. The Brady Campaign has used that argument to defend the DC gun ban.  Of course, you have to wonder where they’ll stand when it comes to the will of the people here. I’m guessing their position will be that particular will has to be squashed, since it doesn’t fit with their agenda.

Update on Wilkes-Barre Incident
Looks like this case I mentioned the other day was another case of the police seizing a gun because it wasn’t in the state police registry record of sale. Getting rid of that registry needs to be a top priority of firearms owners in this state.
The Clever Bradys
The more good things they say about John McCain, the more we hate him. They have to be savoring the distinct possibility of Obama in the Whitehouse (and on your shoulder). Maybe we can all get together and Imagine Obama ’08.

HB 1845 Has Made It Out of Committee
HB 1845, the omnibus pro-gun bill, has been voted out of the House Senate Judiciary Committee 13-0. There was an attempt to strip out the emergency concealed carry provision by the anti-domestic violence lobby, because clearly we can’t have women being threatened by their psychotic ex’s able to defend themselves. Why, if that were the case, we might not need an anti-domestic violence lobby.  They were unsuccessful at removing this provision by a 9-5 vote.  The bill now move to the appropriations committee, then to the floor, then back to the house for concurrence.
Illegal in New Jersey
Maybe they are worried about the Redcoats getting the better of them over there, but the Brown Bess is actually an illegal destrictive device in New Jersey. 
Not content with that level of hysterics, they are looking at adding other firearms, such as the one at the side of this post, to the list of illegal destructive devices because it fires a cartridge that Bryan Miller says only terrorists could use. Interesting in getting a gun for your african safari?  Tough tidily, you terrorist! 
Have a fancy for expensive German big bores, like this one to the right. Well, why does anyone need an anti-aircraft weapon such as this?  Do you want to shoot animals or Chemical plants?  You’re not fooling anyone! What if you want one of these babies showing below, well, too bad. You’ll use it blow rail cars sky high.
Anyone who has a friend that’s a hunter, who says they aren’t coming after his hunting rifle, needs to print this post out and beat him with it (rhetorically, of course). They’ll ban anything they can get away with banning. Kill one piece of the shooting culture at a time, until there’s nothing left.
