State to state comparisons fail in that the crime season in Jacksonville, Miami, etc. is 12 months long. Northern cities will typically show a lull in their crime rates in the cold, winter months.

Comparing the six New England states, on the other hand, shows what anyone with half a brain should be able to deduce on their own.

True. We get all our shootin’ done in the spring and summer. Even criminals don’t like the cold :) The Taliban seem to agree with this strategy too.

What is the Brady grade for New Jersey? I’ll bet it’s an ‘A’ or something close to it.

Too bad there wasn’t an inverse correlation; that would lend more credibility to the “greater gun ownership = less violence” argument.
