Stick to the Drums Ringo

For him, it’s still the 60s:

“I can’t stand up and dictate to the world: ‘it’s over – no more guns.’ I can just do what I do, and there’s another side to the story which is peace and love.”

I thought “gun violence” was rare in England….

Who cares? Ringo was never up to his day job, either.

    • Ringo Starr isn’t a great drummer technically (he is left-handed and learned on a right-handed kit), but many other drummers admire his playing. Listen to the drumming on A Day in a Life as an example. I used to be in the music business in Nashville, and I can remember good session drummers saying, “Wow! How did he do that?” after listening to a Beatles track.

“the story which is peace and love.”

Stolen from Magpul’s website, although I may be misquoting:
“Everyone dreams of a world of peace, love, and understanding.

The problem is half the people think it would be a nice place to live and the other half a nice place to pillage. “

  4. OTOH, Ringo correctly summarized the Nanny State when he said, “Everything the government touches turns to crap.”
