As a proud member of the species Packus Ratus, I am driving into the soon to be closed office to pick over the remains of anything that’s left that’s destained for the dumpster if a rescue mission is not mounted.

I scored some cool stuff when we moved buildings this year!
My favorite places to shop, when I can, are the University Surplus stores that the University of Utah, and Utah State University, have. I was dismayed to discover that not all major universities have such stores!
I still remember the big, clunky carbon dioxide laser being sold, for $500 or best offer. I didn’t have $500, nor the space to buy it, nor the know-how to fix it up–but I still have “regret” that I passed up such a deal!
Don’t forget to “salvage” as many incandescent bulbs as possible.
