Joe has some dialog with Ms. Peterson as well. The Brady folks really need to learn more about this issue than talking points. They need to learn how to argue. When I read threads like this, it’s almost sad, because I feel I could take their positions and argue them better than many of them are capable of. She still could not have answered, Joe’s question, but there are more effective ways to dodge and misdirect than that.

My question to gun control groups would be: Those in favor of gun control always claim that they don’t want to take away your guns, but instead only want reasonable and effective laws, and the right should be willing to compromise to help reduce gun crime, but one sided compromise is a loosing proposition; can you provide one example of a current law that places a burden on the right to own and carry firearms that you think goes too far, and that you would support repealing?
Otherwise, its just one side trying to take advantage of a slippery slope to progressively remove and restrict the rights of gun owners further and further.
