This is the last functional day of our company. Everyone’s last day except mine and the two other people who are being kept on for two additional months to facilitate the liquidation. Blogging will be light until a little later.

I was at Medtronic when they closed the ATL customer service office; same “sweet severance, but only if you ride the bomb down” deal. That or take a relocation to company HQ in Minneapolis. I rode the bomb down.
It was a strange ghost town kind of feeling, and the last time everybody got together for a round of drinks after work was pretty poignant.

Sorry to hear this; no matter how sweet the severance package, this is never fun.
