  1. It’s to early to start measuring pocketbooks. Once the Demoncrats drag Noboma out, his parishioners will pony up big bucks to secure his future. They are holding back the messiah until late in the game.

    1. Actually, big time regular donors do track this kind of information when making their decisions because it’s often tied to the performance of DNC officials. Obama handpicked Kaine to do the job, and they aren’t performing. That’s going to raise questions in the minds of donors about how good their game is on other fronts, too. The other issue, if you go to the original post, is that the Dems have more debt to retire first. For cash on hand, the RNC has a decent lead.

      Now there are other fundraising groups focused on Congress & the Senate to focus on, but this is one of many measures that doesn’t suck for the GOP. If we have good candidates to spend that money on, it would be quite nice.

  2. Message is only half the equation. Believability is the other half. The Republicans have been broadcasting a fine domestic policy message (taxes bad) since forever. Their follow through has been abominable for a very long time.
