The Canadians are currently able to get their hands on these. It continues to amaze me that Canada has less stringent importation laws in regards to firearms than the United States.

It’s not the firearms laws, per se, it’s the political climate. They can get Cuban cigars, too, and you could buy a Lada in Toronto during the height of the Cold War.
Politics, gun laws, and import restrictions intersect in strange ways. The semiauto ban on ChiCom guns was meant to punish them, not us, and it languishes on because of political inertia.
