  1. If all the films with graphic violence in them turn their audiences into violent men like Jules Winfeild, why don’t the far more numerous films with singing, dancing, and big production numbers turn us all into Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers?

  2. How many of us grew up watching Combat and all of the war movies that were shown over and over and over on independent TV stations. We played “war” constantly…and like S. Jackson said, we didn’t grow up shooting people in real life!

    1. Exactly!
(my house was good to watch Combat! at with my friends because my Mom could translate the German dialog)
We played with toy guns, had massive shootouts, died gloriously and then went home for dinner when the streetlights came on.
      It was PRETEND, not indoctrination.

  3. “We should have shotguns for this kind of deal.”

Would have paid to hear him let out with that one during the interview.
