You Can’t Vote for Him, He Kills Puppies

The Democratic Party in Illinois would like you not to vote for Bill Brady because he’s a sick puppy killer. I kid you not:

The bill they are referring to is here, and as you can see, it has nothing to do with puppy holocausts, and has more to do with approving a method of euthanasia, a practice widely accepted for suffering animals. The method that is being approved here is accepted practice by the American Veterinary Medical Association, an organization well known to advocate puppy genocide.

  1. You used the term ‘suffering animals’ but the bill specifically disallows that use. “Animals that are under 4 months of age, old, injured, or sick may not be euthanized by carbon monoxide.”

  2. The saddest thing I had to do was to euthanize a kitten that was accidentally crushed by a bedframe. Since we couldn’t get the kitten to a vet, nor could we afford to, we scrounged up enough money to get some dry ice.

The memory that haunts me the most was trying to comfort that kitten when it sensed that something was wrong, above and beyond having its insides turned into mush.

It’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, but if it has to be done, it shouldn’t be made illegal.

  3. That probably wasn’t the best way to do it. A gun shot to the head would have been more humane. The problem with carbon dioxide is it’s fairly soluble in water, and makes carbonic acid.
