The bad news: I guess they didn’t re-think it and decide that this was a bad set of policies to pursue.
The silver lining: they’re dumb enough to try it. (see: 2010.)
I see they took out the “…as such weapons belong on foreign battlefields and not on our streets.”
I’d like to think they did this because they were listening to the numerous complaints they received, but I doubt it.
Either that or they heard the argument “So that means the police shouldn’t have them either?”
