The Voldemort Amendment

I appreciate this kind of honesty and integrity coming from academics in the media.  I also loved this:

This term, the Supreme Court may finally take up the Voldemort Amendment, the part of the Bill of Rights that shall not be named by liberals.

  1. It is extremely refreshing to see what seems to be a growing awareness that there is nothing “liberal” about a government monopoly on force.

I can only scratch my head when I hear bitter complaints about the Bush administration’s apparent inclination to police statehood (concerns I share) coming from the same people who advocate that the people be unable (or at least less able) to acquire the means to resist.

Kurt’s identified a phenomenon that baffles me as well. There should be a name for it. I think it identifies insincerity in their argument. The shortest thing I can think of to call it is Police State PSH from Anti 2A GFW’s.
