No Federal Gun Control Push in the Senate

Not surprisingly, Harry Reid is reassuring red state Democrats that he is unwilling to continue sacrificing the future of his political power – and their Senate seats – by bringing gun control to the front page and the Senate floor in 2014.

I’m pretty sure the only people who are surprised by this are the Moms who believed him when he promised a big gun control vote right before the mid-terms last year. Anyone who seriously follows politics would have known that was a lie.

  1. The gun grabbers are easily startled, but they will soon be back, and in greater numbers.

I expect them to ramp this up again after the midterms if they hold the Senate. Although if they’re smart they’ll wait for Hillary to get elected first and just let Pres Obama poison the well with EOs and the bureaucracy for the next few years.

  2. The problem with that promise is that it has an expiration date of November 4th, 2014.

  3. Big gun-control vote right before the mid-terms? Not likely.

Big gun-control vote right after the mid-terms? Count on it.

Nothing like the “freedom” of a lame-duck session where nobody can/will be held accountable. Ask Mr. Barack Obama about that “flexibility.”

  4. Anyone who seriously follows politicians would have known that was a lie.
