Tastykake Finds a Buyer

Possibly as revenge for burning Atlanta, the rebs now own Tastykake. Great work Philadelphia! It won’t be too long before the North will have no hope of winning if the South does indeed rise again, because everything will be made there, and nothing here. I will definitely join the side with Tastykakes. Add this to my affection for Chick-fil-a, and they’d really have me over a barrel if they tore up all the railroads heading north.

  1. I bought some Tastykake Butterscotch Krimpets last month at Walmart, when I was down in Maryland on business. While I don’t really know if Tastykakes were available in any of the stores in Maryland 30+ years ago, back when I was a little guy, I can certainly tell from my recent purchase of Butterscotch Krimpets that these treats are so noticeably smaller nowadays than they were 30+ years ago.

Back in the late 1970’s, the Tastykake Butterscotch Krimpets were sold for individual consumption in convenience stores like the 7-11’s, within wax-paper packets of three cakes across, and each cake was a bit longer and wider than what Tastykake calls a Butterscotch Krimpet now. Since I can still recall how it once was, I feel rather cheated from the whole thing overall, actually, and I likely won’t buy any more Tastykakes in the near future. I’ll just use my money to buy more ammunition and other gun stuff instead.

  2. Flowers Foods are great people. Have done work with them in the past. Good wholesome baking company. Very successful. Very pro gun. Very pro hunting. VERY VERY VERY much anti Democrat.

  3. Hey! The south is pretty cool these days. Can’t beat the sweet tea and grits, also don’t forget about the biscuits and gravy.

    /me hails from north Alabama.
