One Fool or Another

It’s that time again, folks. Election Day. I would especially like to remind my New Jersey readers to get out to vote. It’s important Corzine doesn’t win, both for the gun issue, and for greater struggles against bigger and more intrusive government. The eyes of the country will be on New Jersey this evening. Well, at least those who aren’t watching the World Series.

For those in Virginia, Bob McDonnell won’t win if people don’t turn out to actually vote for the guy. Despite my hopes that Deeds was just running to the left for the primary, he’s stuck by his gun show loophole position, and needs to be sent packing. Also vote Ken Cuccinelli for Attorney General.

If we get Hoffman in NY-23, send Christie to Trenton, and elect Bob McDonnell governor, with significant Dem losses across the board, it will put the fear of God into the blue dogs, and will make the passage of Pelosi and Obama’s agenda much more difficult.

  1. As a Virginian, I just want my commonwealth to go back to where it was when I moved here (30+ yrs ago). If Cuccinelli wins I thoroughly intend to harass him about doing everything in his power to enforce the “good” gun laws, and if McDonnell and Bolling win I intend to harass them about getting rid of all the “bad” gun laws. In the meantime, I intend to spend the rest of the day in praying for miracles for this nation.

By the way, I found an MSNBC article (via Briebart’s Big Government) that stated that NY-23 is slated to receive almost $1 billion in “Stimulus” funds. I don’t know if I’m behind a bit in the news, but that makes the past few weeks’ antics there much more clear to me.

  2. If Corzine loses NJ, the Dems are going to crap a brick. Not that Christie is any better. In NJ, the Republicans are almost as liberal as Democrats, they just answer to different masters. Boss politics alive and well. NJ is so far left, I have a hard time seeing how it will ever swing back even to center, although every little bit helps.

    + 10,000

That is really the heart of the matter. Already the left is downplaying a VA gov loss. They have much riding in NJ … and if Corzine is beaten, it will definitely leave the left on the defensive and running for cover.

Now if only the Republicans could pull their heads out of their butts, or if only a true third party could emerge built on fiscal responsibility and individual liberties …

  4. I’ll be doing my civic duty tonight. Polls are open till 8 pm by state law; there’s no excuse not to vote.

Whether it will be enough to overcome the “absentee” ballots, we shall see.

I object to to absentee ballots on the grounds of making it practical to sell a vote…

  5. Madden needs to take his bald head butt out of politics. He and his doofy staff are a bunch of lazy political opportunist. The people in his office are nasty.
