Wild West at Sea

Apparently someone in the British Government is concerned about turning the coast of Somalia into the “Wild West” of the high seas.  Sorry, I think it’s too late.

One Response to “Wild West at Sea”

  1. B Smith says:

In the ‘wild west’, people could defend themselves when fired upon. As it stands now, a freighter off the coast of Somalia is just an unarmed victim-in-waiting. It figures, though, that the Euro-weenies are perfectly satisfied with that arrangement.
(And it always pisses me off when someone who’s probably never even been to America describes a situation where guns are present as, ‘The Wild West’. To Brits, it seems, anything that makes noise and/or disturbs tea-time is ‘wild’.)
