The Palm Pistol

The Palm Pistol has been making its way around the gun blogs.  My first thought was that I can’t believe it’s not classified as an AOW, but I guess it’s designed to be fired by a single hand, so it’s hard to argue it should be.  My second thought was that I can’t believe there are still firearms innovations coming out of New Jersey.

UPDATE: Here’s the ATF approval letter for the Palm Pistol.

  1. It is amazing how technology reinvents it self. From the old .32 Minneapolis Protector Palm Pistol of 1892 to the new 9mm Palm Pistol. I guess there is nothing new, just improved repackaging. Still, neat little gun.

  2. Out of Maplewood no less. A sleepy little suburb of Newark NJ, google maps reveal this address to be in a residential neighborhood. I wonder when Bryan Miller will organize protests outside this person’s home.

  3. Well – a single shot 9mm pistol shaped unlike a firearm, but about the same size or larger than a Kel-Tec .380 or Ruger LCP .380, selling for the same or higher price than those models. Color me unimpressed.

  4. Well, even though this gun was invented in Jersey as a defensive weapon with the old and weak in mind, I wouldn’t tell anybody living there to expect seeing the old and weak get ready access to carry permits for this gun any time soon.
