Quote of the Day

From Clayton Cramer:

Pray for Alan Gura, the attorney representing us before the Supreme Court in Heller. He is carrying a considerable responsibility, and this is his first case that he will argue before the Supreme Court.

I’m not much of a religious man, but we’ll take all the help we can get.

  1. Excellent idea. My daughter and I will pray extra hard today for God to provide him with wisdom and eloquence. Our liberty rests on one man.

  2. Well, for better or worse, I am not a big believer in prayer…but I am a big believer in sincere encouragement and moral support.

If he just wasn’t so busy, I’d email him to tell him that I have the utmost confidence in him and that he’s done a great job on this over the last five years. Basically, that I believe in him and that many others do as well. I don’t care if he’s a “newbie”…I think that being seasoned at arguing before the Aupreme Court counts mostly when you are tying to pull the wool over the Justice’s eyes. In that sense, it’s a good thing for DC and their amici that Dellinger is a seasoned “wool-puller-over.”

Alan Gura has history and the truth on his side, and he doesn’t need years of practice standing on his head to convey that truth and history.

Alan will do great. I have the utmost confidence in him.

  3. What’s that famous saying…

Pray softly and carry a big gun. Yea, that’s it.
