PSH From Omaha

This article is filled with so many problems, it would take me all night to fisk it:

The assault guns could be gaining popularity because they are relatively inexpensive and easy to find, Fidone said.

AK-47s are priced online for as low as $400. Other types of rifles cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars more.

That’s just one example of some of the blatant ignorance you’ll find in this poorly researched farce. It’s it funny, though, how all these articles seem to all follow the exact same pattern? Curious indeed.

  1. What nonsense. I picked up a used .22 rifle for only $80 that came with a free used scope worth about $100, so it is ridiculous to say that all rifles cost hundreds of dollars more than $400 which would set the minimum rifle price at $700 & up. But what I really want to know is where I can find myself a $400 semi-auto AK47, much less a Full Auto AK47 assault rifle manufactured before 1986 so that I can legally buy it after I pay for the $200 tax stamp. I want about 100 of those so that I can make a fortune selling them all for more than $14,000 each after I only play $400 each, please tell me Obama where I can get my hands on those weapons at that amazing price. Thanks :)

  2. Why the same pattern? Easy: the more often you repeat a lie, the moer likely the average populace is to believe it, or at least the more likely it is to be adopted into “common knowledge”.

Unfortunately, in that field, I think the anti-rights folks are winning.
