Appealing to Southern Voters

They are really going to have to do a better job than this.  This is so bad as to be downright insulting, and I’m from north of the Mason-Dixon line.

Nobody seems to mind George W Bush’s fake southern accent ;)

I’m not convinced it’s fake as much as the fact that his family isn’t really Texan. I think his accent is muddled and confused, much like he seems to be much of the time.

Whenever I go back to Massachusetts or even spend a few hours with my family, my New England accent will start to slip back. That and after I’ve had a few drinks.

However, hers was so over the top that it definitely looked like pan-handling for Southern votes.

I had an Eastern/Central European accent as a kid. I don’t know why though, since I was born in the U.S. and have always lived here. My grandparents were from Central Europe, but I was never around them enough to pick up an accent.

I was essentially Dexter from Dexter’s Laboratory. (If you’ve seen it.)
