Gun Control: It’s Obsolete

You can make an AK-47 receiver from a shovel with common household tools. I think I’ve seen Kyber pass AKs with shovel handles as a stock, which makes me wonder if they use the same technique to make their AK receivers.

And it’s not just gun control that’s a ridiculous, fruitless endeavor. Explosives regulations are just about as bad, given that you can make boomerite from ice packs.

  1. The intent of the Second Amendment is to arm the citizens and prevent tyranny. The term “Well Regulated” in the Second Amendment meant “Well Manned and Equipped ” in 1791 as was determined in the 1939 United States v. Miller case after referencing the autobiography of Benjamin Franklin. The concept of Government Regulation, as we understand it today, did not exist at the time. United States v. Miller also determined that the term “Arms” refers to “Ordinary Military Weapons”. American Citizens have the right to Keep and Bear, which means Own and Carry, any weapons that a soldier carries into battle. That includes past, present and future weapons. A Militia consisted of armed volunteers willing to fight with their personal arms and not under government control. The American people still have a lot of work to do with regard to taking back their rights.

    1. Well Said!

I’ve said for years that the ‘Militia’ reference should make military weapons specifically protected, just not as well as you.

Where they got their “Sporting Purpose” test from I have no idea, there is arguably no ‘right’ to sporting arms really, but military weapons are definitely protected by the 2nd amendment in my opinion.

  2. Along the boomerite lines, you can make a nice BOOM with an empty 3 liter soda bottle, water and dry ice.
pour a couple inches of water into a empty soda bottle, drop in several pieces of dry ice, cap it and get away fast.

    Makes as very pleasing Boom!
