  1. My guess is her husband will not accept a plea bargain and now more pressure is being exerted on George to accept. Now his wife’s face is familiar to every Zimmerman hater in the country.

This is despicable.. I am so angry……..

  2. It pains me to watch defense attorneys try to play by the rules in a case when the prosecution is not.

IANAL, but if it were me (given what we know about the prosecutorial mischief), I’d immediately file a motion to have the perjury charges dismissed against Shellie Zimmerman due to Corey’s editing of the transcript to deceive the judge.

I’d also start the pushback and file a complaint with the bar association that Corey needs to be investigated.

It also also wouldn’t hurt if firearms organizations started pressuring Pam Bondi and Rick Scott to remove Corey from the Zimmerman case.

Let them fight some fires for a change …

Well, yeah, but first she’s got to find her own lawyer (her husband’s shouldn’t and maybe can’t represent her since their interests now diverge), figure out how to pay him (hey, she could start up a defense fund, look how well that worked the first time!), and then I gather there’s a point in the process to move for a dismissal based on the state not making a case. Which for her might be easy since it’s not as politicized as her husband’s.

And hope by that time her husband hasn’t folded and her charge mysteriously goes poof. Then again Corey has shown signs of being pretty nasty, she might cut an implicit deal with George (since doing it overtly would surely be illegal) and then renege and continue the prosecution. That’s wild speculation, but at this point little would surprise me.
