But he has to sue the city to get his gun back.
The problem is the City will scream and fuss about the Evil Confiscated Gun until you spend more than it was worth in lawyers fees to get it back.
The solution to this is to have everybody who had legitimate guns confiscated by the police to sue the city to get them back. If possible, sue for the gun back AND lawyers fees.
