   I’m always struck by how back-east architecture looks different than out-west stuff, even after living in Arlington. We don’t (can’t) build much of anything with brick or masonry without having-to use a whole lot of re-bar – it’s the earthquake thing.

   And yes, those fixtures MUST go.
   Hmmm…with the deck above, I wonder if recessed cans would work…
