That’s awful. Can you imagine the force against the side of the brass that would do that.

That is the proper operation of an HK-91 or G-3 rifle…fluted chamber and dent from ejection port. HK used to make a buffer for US shooters who reload, but militaries do not care about reloading. An HK of this type might eject up 90 feet from the port, which it was said prevented “position disclosure”.
