Quote of the Day

From Chris Cox on Kirsten Gillibrand:

“She took law-abiding gun owners in upstate New York for a ride and tossed them into the Hudson on her way into Manhattan.”

I guess as a politician, Senator Gillibrand’s positions are entirely negotiable if the reward is great enough.  There’s another profession that’s true about too.

  1. Considering how many other issues she’s done a complete 180 on, it’s clear her prices in exchange for votes were pretty low. I find it funny that even traditionally Democratic-leaning press have made fun of her for lies she’s told to defend her sudden changes. Normally they wouldn’t question false statistics from someone like McCarthy, but they don’t see any reason to give Gillibrand that same “respect.” I love it.

I’m just not sure that I’ll love whoever ends up challenging her and likely beating her. Although if she can hold up during a primary, polls show that Rudy would beat her hands down in a general election. He hasn’t been a friend on strictly the gun issue, but there’s a bit of hope there on things like judicial nominees.

  2. I would be happy if Rudy beat her, just to punish her for tossing gun owners aside, and flip-flopping on nearly everything.

    Well played, sir.
