It’s here. It really highlights the mixed bag from this morning’s news.
While the overwhelming rejection of President Obama and Mayor Bloomberg’s “universal” background check agenda is a positive development, we have a broken mental health system that is not going to be fixed with more background checks at gun shows.
While I’m glad they are standing firm against background checks, their tactic of trying to change the subject, “Gee, why doesn’t Obama do something about the gangs in his own hometown” sounds just childish and dumb to me; as if it is a deflection issue to give members something new to stew over rather than the subject at hand.
If they had just stopped about 2/3 of the way through that paragraph it would have worked much better, IMO. I don’t like being treated like a kid.
