New documents obtained by CBS News show Attorney General Eric Holder was sent briefings on the controversial Fast and Furious operation as far back as July 2010. That directly contradicts his statement to Congress.
Of course, the White House is claiming they never knew this operation was about letting guns walk. Holder is also claiming he didn’t know details. The documents released by the White House this weekend would appear to show that if the White House wasn’t aware guns were being walked, they are pretty stupid:
As CBS News has reported, the email exchanges between Newell and O’Reilly lasted for more than a month. Among the documents produced is an email Newell sent O’Reilly with an “arrow chart reflecting the ultimate destination of firearms we intercepted and/or where the guns ended up.”
It was mostly the latter since, as we have documented, ATF agents were ordered by superiors not to interdict the weapons traffic, surveillance would be called off, and requested interdiction teams were not sent to arrest the traffickers when opportunities to do so arose. Most of the guns were allowed to “walk” into Mexico.
I’m wondering if Congress has enough now to at least impeach Holder.
They have enough, but they may lack the will. I’m shocked at how few people even know about the case.
As for Holder, he should be impeached for perjury, and extradited to Mexico (or Arizona) as an accessory to murder. At least, that would be the result in a just world, but don’t hold your breath.
Eric Holder, Alberto Gonzales, John Yoo, Janet Reno, Edwin Meese…regarding your earlier objection to getting rid of the ATF, waddaya say we just get rid of the Department of “Justice”? Seems to have a cockroach infestation.
I’d be happiest of Mexico issued an arrest warrant and Holder was extradited to face court for the crimes he committed in Mexico.

There is no other explanation for F+F or “Wide Receiver” other than to create the problem Obama, Clinton and others lamented in 08-09, about how the cartel violence fed on weapons from legitimate US dealers. IIRC Holder was talking about a new AWB in 08, but that idea got buried in a hurry. The solution to the problem of “lax gun laws” of course would be to create “tight gun laws” and end F+ F-type ops.
If Holder, Obama et. al. are this sociopathic in setting the stage for the UN treaty or even a new AWB, what isn’t a viable course for more important goals, like delaying elections “to end gridlock” in Congress? Obviously the excuse for the op can be past ludicrous, but they might try if it suits another goal they prefer not to disclose.

Obama said this past spring his plan was to go after gun rights through administrative rules, like the multi-gun reporting requirements in southern border states. There’s no reason not to take him at his word. A second term for this man would be an unmitigated disaster for the country in every way imaginable. Please, vote responsibly.
Side note: if they try and delay elections, how do they enforce?
