If someone lives in a state that doesn’t “allow” them to hunt with a semi-auto and they love AR platform rifles, a bolt action AR would solve that problem pronto. A .308 bolt AR would kind of be like a “mini” 98 Bravo, sounds like a sweet rifle to me.
I’ve seen the straight-pull ARs marketed to prisoners of the UK who want to get their black-rifle on, but don’t want to upset their squeamish government.
