They simply aren’t. They’re interested in banning guns and self-defense rights. If they cared about violence they wouldn’t be wasting all their energy worried about how many rounds fit into a mag, or a protruding pistol grip, or if somebody who’s submitted to countless background checks can bring a gun for a walk in the park or lock one in their car so they don’t violate their workplace’s stupid rules.

Or hell how about letting our soldiers carry guns when they’re on US Soil?

Nope, they don’t give two shits about violence.
