Because of the "extra" food at that location, the birds will stay later in the season than nature intends. When the weather finally forces them to leave, as they move south there will not be adequate food available for them. Many more birds will be lost to starvation, exhaustion & exposure than the local hunters would have taken. But then Huey and his liberal friends do get to "stick it to the redneck hunters."
