"Is that flippant and dismissive?"

Both, plus the last statement is flat out wrong as Major Hasan disproved that last week.

I find it laughable how the gun-loons (anti-gunners are the real gun loons because it is always about guns with them) are trying to turn this incident into some kind of argument for gun control.

1.) Major Hasan was one of the types that gun controllers have always said should be allowed to have guns. He was serving in the military and was part of the government which according to the gun loony banners means that he was so much more skilled and knowledgeable in the ways of the gun than the unwashed masses.

2.) Even if civilian ownership of firearms was illegal or if Major Hasan was an officer in England, he would still have been allowed to acquire a firearms since he was scheduled to deploy to a hostile region and needed firearms training before deployment.

Therefore in the gun banning loony’s fantasy gun controlled world, Major Hasan still would have had access to a firearm and still would have been able to kill his fellow soldiers. You people are pathetic.

Sometimes I think you guys see what you want to see. In response to the gun-free military bases, he said, <i>"My father was a career U.S. Army officer; I grew up on Army bases. The only way you can obtain a gun on a base is to sign one out at the armory, and only then for a good reason Ironically, U.S. military bases are often far safer than the cities outside them - because this part of the government, anyway, has stricter gun-control laws."</i>

Wow! You were right, Sebastian. The anti-gunner evaded every question by giving a flippant remark or gratuitous aside. And I don't know what pro-gunner he debates with, but those were the most anemic softball responses I have ever seen. He had to have been made up. Give me ten minutes with that webhost and I'll have.him out buying his own handgun!
