Good News From Canada

This warms my heart to read:

OTTAWA–Gun-control advocates say they are horrified and fearful that Canada’s long-gun firearms registry is on the verge this week of being scrapped because the Conservatives may have enough support from the opposition to kill it.

Ah, yes, we’re rolling back the anti-gun people even in Canada, to the horror of gun control advocates. What really makes them crap their pants?

“It not only eliminates the need to register rifles and shotguns but requires that the information contained on seven million registered guns be destroyed.”

The horror!

  1. From what I can recall from reading online about the situation north of the border, at least one of those registered guns in the Canadian gun registry is a Black and Decker soldering gun. Its caliber was listed as 40 watts.

The application for this soldering gun was submitted by a Canadian firearms advocate as a test to see whether the registration would be accepted as being legitimate. It actually was accepted indeed, and the registration card was then proudly displayed for all to behold.

  2. Next up, regaining the right to own a handgun that can carry more than 10 rounds and/or rifles with more than 5 rounds. And carry permits. And then NFA guns. Little by little, it can happen.
