Caveat: IANAL (OK, actually IAAL but I haven't personally researched this so don't even think of relying on it). I guess you would need to ask a ranger. Around here I suspect they would just kick you out unless you were being difficult. That might lead to a federal trespass beef. We have many of these up north here. Where dams were built and Rec. areas surround the lake made by it.
