Well, This Proves It

Gun control doesn’t work:

Virginia ranked sixth last year as a supplier of out-of-state crime guns per 100,000 inhabitants. West Virginia topped the list, according to the study by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a bipartisan coalition headed by New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg (I) and Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino (D). Maryland ranked 28th.

You know what law Virginia has?   Yep.  One-gun-a-month.  Glad to see it working oh so well.

  1. Still waiting for someone to ask Menino what the #1 source state is for crime guns recovered in Massachusetts. If you guessed Massachusetts, give yourself a cigar.

By shifting the focus to out-of-state guns, it makes it easier to blur reality and deceive one’s audience.

How many gun shops are there outside Massachusetts, compared to the number of gun shops inside Massachusetts? How can anyone not expect more crime guns to have originated from out-of-state? This is true for any state.

Here’s the picture version of what I’m talking about.

  2. Very interseting, seeing Georgia ranked 6th, according to the study. Georgia does not have a limitation on how many you can buy, yet Virgian does and it ranks higher.

  3. I would bet if some ambitious blogger does a survey of gun shops per capita, it correlates nicely to this top ten list.

  4. “Gun control doesn’t work”

Oh, It’ll work… we just have to do it HARDER!!!

I’m so glad I live in the Western U.S. How do people like Bloomberg and Menino keep getting elected?????

  5. Well shit, now I gotta decide between a Nighthawk M1911, a Springfield XD, and an HK45 for CCW…

  6. Anyone else notice that they never say if the CRIMINALS are from other states?

Ya know, like someone takes their gun over the state lines and commits a crime, or maybe they MOVE to another state. That’d sure throw a monkey wrench into their stats.
