Intimidated by H&K?

Because you suck, and we intimidate you.  I agree.. I’d take an AK-47 over an MP5 in a SHTF situation any day of the week.  Not to mention, if Indian Police wear body armor, even Level II body armor stands a good chance of stopping a bullet from an MP5.  A 7.62×39 round will zip through any armor that doesn’t have a ballistic plate in it.

  1. Really …

If I was forced to divvy out weaponry among opposing individuals, I’d much rather be on the side with the AKs.

Much rather. And especially if there was any distance between us.

The most parsimonious explanation for that story is that the Indian National Security Guard are a bunch of wussies. I will bet they are catching hell, especially after that photographer claimed all the guard were simply cowering behind cover.

  2. OK. We’re supposed to bring gun owners together and have solidarity and work together, Fudds and Rambos together for 2A, etc. “Good,” I say. Solid, man.

However this happy umbrella doesn’t extend to H&K, who must be given a mandatory “you suck” gun blog meme thing. I remain confused by this.

Did Heckler and Koch really do something awful, and did I miss the memo? Did they get an endorsement by Chuck Schumer or something? Did they vote for Obama? What’s the damned deal?

  3. H&K won’t produce civilian models of most of their tactical gear. It’s a bit of a joke. We’re not boycotting H&K or anything.

  4. Thanks for the clarification. The way things are nowadays… my funny bone is in sore need of R&R!

  5. The H&K saying around the blogosphere is that their motto should be “Because you suck, and we hate you.” due to their lack of interest in the civilian market.

I am not surprised by that behavior at all. That is something that we as civilians must learn is that being in a firefight is a scary thing. I do fault the Indian police in not taking the initiative and shooting these a-holes down, but I also fault the Indian people in not fighting for their own right to keep and bear arms in this situation.

I hope this serves as a lesson to the Indian people. You want to be safe from terrorists, then you have better learn how to handle a firearm yourself. When you piss away your God given rights- there is only one person to blame: YOU!

  7. Yeah, seriously. An MP5 is lighter and more manuverable, which is a slight advantage in a few situations, but an AK is superior in most other ways.

    On H&K’s side, I’d take a G3 over an AK-47 any day.
