Gun Sales a Terror Watch Indicator?

Apparently the folks at BioDefense Corporation think citizens exercising their Second Amendment rights are terrorists waiting to happen:

“A disturbing increase in reports that gun sales are dramatically increasing now that the presidential election is over indicates that other forms of intentional mayhem such as bio-chemical assaults might also increase,” said BioDefense Corporation ( http://www.biod.com), producers of the new MAIL DEFENDER complete mailroom security solution.

Pretty clearly it’s a short path from buying firearms to launching an elaborate bio-terrorist attack!  Sounds like they are using any excuse to drum up business to me. Either that or it’s an indication of how far out of touch with the rest of America Bostonians have become.

  1. I vote for “out of touch”.

See the comment Jeff quotes today for another example of “out of touch”.

But it is to be expected. There were, and still are, people that “out of touch” and expecting disaster when the slaves were freed.

Some people are just extremely uncomfortable with freedom.

Sounds like they’ve seen the inside of my refrigerator to me. I’m going to clean it, one of these days….

  3. I Emailed them from their website and asked them for facts or other evidence backing up their assertion that there’s a relationship between increasing sales of conventional weapons and bio-chemical attacks… If I get a response, I’ll post it here.

  4. Americans exercising their Constitutional Rights ARE terrorists.

    That’s just common sense.

We have met the enemy my friends, and they are us.

    How sad.

  5. Look the only biochemical assault will be the all Rogaine stains from Joe Biden’s hair (or the lack thereof) on the funiture. Anyway, I hope they don’t track down my increased ammo sales as an attempt by me to run into a preschool with two cans of Raid.

Geez, the funny part of this is that these people actually think they are smart!

    LOL!
