There are a lot of people in the shooting community who frown on ARs because they are not the traditional steel and wood a lot of people have come to love. NSSF is reaching out to outdoor writers to try to educate them about the platform.

I love my AR. But for those who want wood and steel, I have my Mini-14, too… >:D Of course, when I outshoot them with my “mattel” they usually change their tune. Varmint, deer, coyote… I can bag anything here in AZ except for elk, and carry 30 round mags when I need to beat feet from the armed coyotes that drive vans here on the AZ/Mexico border. Great desert rifle.
