They all understand the situation and they all know they are lying. They are relying on their listeners being as ignorant as most of them are. 2. We are not winning. We are at best holding our own. We will not be winning until a man who has broken no law cannot be convicted in spite of it. Most recently Olafson comes to mind, but there are many more instances on record. No court has reined in the usurpers doing the dirty work. Until that time when it is no longer possible to suborn jurists to gain false convictions of innocent people we are not winning. Other than that you are mostly on target. I will grant you that they are afraid we will win. But reality shows us not ready to take a victory lap any time soon.
