Well, bush has 376 days and a wake-up as president; and despite the extreme BDS sufferers nightmares, he's leaving office on the 20th of January, 2009.

Wonder if this was supposed to slip under the radar on a friday afternoon? If so, I suspect the political ninjas are going to be sorely disappointed. Preferably dis-appointed, too - but I hold little hope for that.

The worst part is; even with access to a time machine I wouldn't go back and change my vote for president. I'd just bitch about it more.

If you don't vote, you let one more voter from the other side count his vote.

I have thought the same, but I think it is because I can't emotionally process such a betrayal by any president of his country.

Intellectually I have no hope of his repudiating the brief or its authors simply because no one would take such an important politically destructive and public step without his imprimatur. Nor could it have happened behind his back without one of his loyalists informing him what was afoot, thus allowing him to put a stop to it before the public ever knew.

But trust me, I understand your hope. I share it. I also realize I am being unrealistic. 'S abitch, aint it?
