We banned those things here in Belgium when we discovered that the inside is a great place for dangerous bacteria to grow.

Banned ... not so much banned as threat them the same as if the retailer is selling spoiled meat, considered unsafe due to health reguations.

Ah, yes, reminds me of an old joke...

What is the difference between Michael Jackson and a grocery bag?

One of them is white, made out of plastic and dangerous for your kids to play with. The other is something you put your groceries into.

It is high time we stop trying to legislate bans on everything that we might hurt ourselves with. It is a waste of time, taxpayer dollars, and trees to try to write down & ban all of this garbage that gets banned every year. Next they’ll be banning alcohol again because far more people get killed every year by idiots who drive drunk than get killed every year by strangling themselves with a water yo-yo. Simply ridiculous.

It’s good to allow some natural selection to clean up our gene pool by allowing people to buy toys that they can choke themselves with if they act like an idiot & wrap it around their own neck then forget to take it off. :)

Where else will we get the funny yet true stories for the yearly Darwin awards? The water yo-yo manufacturers will now add the following warning just to avoid being sued by such folks: “Warning: If you wrap this around your neck & pull hard you might choke yourself to death if you don’t unwrap it before you die”

Really? Wow, what a revelation.

Meanwhile, the Pennsylvania State Police are raffling off a Baretta (<a href="http://rightwingnation.com/2008/01/06/the-farm-show/" rel="nofollow">see here, and scroll down</a>). Kind of hard to imagine that in NJ, nicht wahr?
