No Ron Paul wasn't interested in speaking to potentially millions of gun owners whom he's been fighting with for 30 years, but he'll go to one kids dorm room for an interview for a vlog (video blog).

Who are you trying to kid NRA? We're not as dumb as you act. Thanks for helping me decide where to give my support -- The GOA!

FYI, I got the same exact canned letter when I wrote them to get the situation.

RP had already made another commitment for the time NRA was offering, but wanted to work out the scheduling or do a teleconference. NRA simply replied they didn’t have any other time options.

The other candidates that couldn't make it sent in videos.

After promoting passage of the Veteran’s Disarmament Bill in Congress, I’m not surprised the NRA is cool to the one Presidential candidate who has received so many endorsements from our veterans because of his consistent activity in helping our vets.

If this bill was so bad, why didn't Ron Paul vote against it? He could have asked for a vote. Saying this pretty much tells me you don't know what you're talking about, because you've been reading GOA's lies about that bill.

My understanding is that NRA contacted the Ron Paul campaign too close to the event. RP had already made another commitment for the time NRA was offering, but wanted to work out the scheduling or do a teleconference. NRA simply replied they didn't have any other time options.

So NRA managed not to have Ron Paul speak and make it look like it was RP's fault. It strikes me as not so unlike the way NRA seems to continually drop the ball in "opposing" gun control.

After promoting passage of the Veteran's Disarmament Bill in Congress, I'm not surprised the NRA is cool to the one Presidential candidate who has received so many endorsements from our veterans because of his consistent activity in helping our vets.

NRA desperately needs another Cincinnati house cleaning.

Incidentally, Justin: NRA wasn't interested in a video from Ron Paul. The same wonderful people who brought you the Brady Bill, Act 17 of Special Session 1995, and the Veteran's Disarmament Bill, among many other marvelous wonders, also managed to maneuver Ron Paul out of their celebration, while pretending that RP really wasn't interested.

"Ron is the savior of humanity, and without sin." -- the NRA is a sacred cow that has done more to damage gun rights in the past 10 years than any other organization. NRA has done more to provide cover for anti-gun politicians than it has to fight them and their policies. The groups that are actually protecting our rights frequently must contend with NRA sabotage as well.

If you believe NRA's spin that RP wasn't interested in speaking, then don't forget to cast your NRA BOD votes for the slate of names the Winning Team tells you mindlessly to vote for. After all, these are the saviors of humanity, and without sin. What an incestuous cesspool of corruption!

Lazy, but probably intentional. What a freaking excuse… Ron Paul had to call them when he didn’t get their letter because they can’t make a simple phone call.

Am I supposed to believe that? Maybe I should watch Fox News for 20 minutes and come back and read their excuse again — it will probably make sense after that.

Are you fucking nuts? Seriously. I'm a Ron Paul supporter but here's the facts: He didn't show up for the event and he didn't submit a video. Case closed, he doesn't get featured on the event page for that day's activities. It's not that hard to understand. He declined because he had other obligations that day.

I don't understand why someone at the NRA couldn't just pick up the phone and call Paul's campaign HQ. How hard could that be? Here, I'll do it for you, NRA.

I'll burn maybe 1 calorie lifting the phone to my ear, and another calorie pressing the phone number on the keypad.
